What sort of poetry is in the book?

If you're not into poetry or just a beginner, this is the poetry book for you. This collection is bold, playful and accessible.  Most of the pieces I've written are intentionally brief—you can think of them as "quotes" or one-liners that provide life perspective. However, there are also a number of longer, lyrical pieces—and even some rhymes—for the poetry lovers, too.

Who is the target audience?

Anyone who desires to slow down the pace of their life and spend their time more intentionally. I wrote this book for the high-achievers, perfectionists and people-pleasers who often struggle to find freedom in the everyday. That being said, women (especially twenty-somethings and mothers) may resonate most strongly with the words on these pages, as it is often women who wear the most hats & carry a disproportionate mental load.

Do you post internationally?

Sure do! Unfortunately postage costs are high right now, so that will be reflected in the total cost. However, everything possible has been done to reduce this.

Is the book available anywhere else?

Due to the small print-run, my website is the only place Slowliloquies will be sold.

What is your heart behind this book?

Slowliloquies was born from my own struggles with slowing down and learning to redefine success. In following my desire to live more slowly and intentionally, I wrestled with these words. By reading these pages, I hope you will gain a fresh perspective on what's truly important, and receive permission to live more freely. I also hope that this book will be kept close by, so that you can flick through its pages when life feels most overwhelming, and find a sense of peace.

You mentioned an art release, when is that happening?

Postage isn't available in my country/it's just too expensive. What should I do?

If you live outside these areas but still want a copy of the book, please send me an email hello@maryellenhacko.com.au and we'll provide you a personalised quote for postage to your area, or figure out an alternative option.

Can I pick-up instead of paying postage?

Absolutely! If you're a friend or family member supporting my work (thank you!), please select the "free pick-up" option at check-out and I'll get in touch with further details.
